AI assistants

Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your net worth

Connect your TrackMyStack account and ask about your portfolios in plain language, or share a statement and have the assistant record the holdings for you. You connect it yourself, and you can disconnect at any time.

What you can ask

Your portfolio, in a conversation

  • “What is my net worth, and what moved most today?”
  • “How is my portfolio split by region, sector and currency?”
  • “How much have I received in dividends this year, and what is already declared?”
  • “Am I on track for my savings goals?”
  • “Add the holdings on this statement to a new portfolio called Brokerage.”

What it can read

  • Net worth and each portfolio’s value, cost basis and unrealised gain
  • Holdings and the dated positions behind each one
  • Today’s biggest movers and your net worth over time
  • Allocation by sector, region, asset type and currency
  • Dividends received and payments already declared
  • Progress on your savings goals
  • Search results from the supported market catalog

What it can record, when you ask

  • Create, rename or change a portfolio
  • Add a holding, or correct the positions it already has
  • Archive or unarchive a portfolio or holding
  • Delete a portfolio or holding, and restore it again

TrackMyStack records portfolio information. An assistant connected to it cannot buy or sell investments or move money.

Net worth, portfolios, holdings, positions, market search and every change work on any account. Without a subscription, net worth and holdings are valued at the last close; with one, live prices are used where available. Movers, net worth history, allocation, dividends and goals need a TrackMyStack subscription.

Setup

Connect in a few minutes

You need a TrackMyStack account and the app open on your phone or on the web, to generate a connection code. A code works once and expires after ten minutes.

Server URL

https://api.trackmystack.app/mcp

Connect with Claude

Web, desktop and mobile. Mobile setup is in beta.

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors, select Add, then Custom → Web.
  2. Name it TrackMyStack, enter the server URL above, select Continue, then Add.
  3. When the TrackMyStack authorization page opens, generate a connection code in TrackMyStack under Account → Connected apps, paste it there, and approve.
  4. In a chat, open + → Connectors and turn on TrackMyStack.

Connect with ChatGPT

ChatGPT on the web. TrackMyStack is waiting for approval in ChatGPT’s plugin directory, so until then it needs Developer mode.

  1. On chatgpt.com, open Settings → Security and login and switch on Developer mode. It needs a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan; on a work or school workspace, an admin has to allow it first.
  2. Open Plugins, select +, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Name it TrackMyStack and enter the server URL above under Connection.
  4. For authentication, choose OAuth and Client ID Metadata Document (CIMD) if asked.
  5. Accept the risk warning, select Create as a plugin, then install the plugin.
  6. When the TrackMyStack authorization page opens, generate a connection code in TrackMyStack under Account → Connected apps, paste it there, and approve.
  7. In a chat, type @ and select TrackMyStack.

Your data

You stay in control

  • Only the account you connect

The assistant sees the portfolios in that account and nothing else: not your backups, the files you upload for an import, or your support messages.

  • Deletions can be undone

A portfolio or holding an assistant deletes can be restored, by asking the assistant in the same conversation or, for 30 days, from Recently deleted in the app. Changes to a holding’s dated positions cannot be undone that way.

  • Disconnect at any time

Open Account → Connected apps and disconnect. Access stops immediately, and the rest of your data is unaffected.

  • Read the details

What we record about a connection, and how the assistant’s provider handles your data, is in our privacy policy.
